Is it safe to use electric hedge trimmers while I am using an aluminium garden ladder?

Q1) Is it safe to use electric hedge trimmers while I am using an aluminium garden ladder?

It seems that common sense wins here when using plug-in hedge trimmers with our garden ladders. If you make sure that there is no faults, chips in the cable then you should be fine. But if you really are bothered by it then get a fibre glass ladder instead.

A1) It’s not a problem, the only way you could come to grief is if you cut through the cable, but with a good RCD plugged into the electric socket and your trimmer plugged into that you will not feel any shock should you cut the cable…..I know, having cut a cable and had to fit a connection block to use it again.

A2) As long as equipment is properly grounded and the ladder is not placed in or near water you should be safe.

A3)Inspect the wire to make sure it is not severed in any spot, and obviously not in the rain. But other than that you should be good.

Do you need some help or advice about buying or choosing the right ladder for the job?
