We here at ladders online are always amazed at some of the DIY people do. Some do it indoors, some do it on the roof, and some do it in the bedroom! (keep it clean people, keep it clean.) But it’s not so much where they do it – it’s how. Anyway, for the next 10 evening articles we will be looking at the top 5 of things to do with DIY “funk junk” – It’s going to be all images of things that people have reused, found and generally made something nice out of something boring. And why are we doing this? Because to do some home based DIY you will most probably need a aluminium stepladders to do it. Unless you are tall enough to paint that ceiling by just stretching your hand, but most of us will need a leg up, and that is where or step ladders come into it. 5) This isn’t a game? there is no screen!

It maybe simple, but to paint a few pebbles black with the odd white spots and get a playable set of dominoes is simply genius. Anyone can do it, and best of all is that you can make it with your child and not only have fun making them but also playing with them.

4) Don’t forget to spit the stones out!

Ok you can’t eat them but painting a few pebbles and making them look like strawberries just looks simply amazing. Maybe place then as a border in the strawberry garden! Or maybe just have a bowl full of them as a really cool talking point feature in the kitchen.

3) Little pebble on the prairie

It’s images like this that make us feel all warm and funny inside (AKA happy). The pure genius that someone took a common pebble that you might find on a beach or maybe one they dug up, and then turned it into a perfectly designed fairy house is truly inspiring. While we here at ladders online can’t draw for toffee, but we would be more than willing to made buy one of these. So for someone with a little bit of a drawing flair, we think there is some serious money to made from selling these.

2) It’s got some bite, we will give it that!

This amazing sculpture carved into a pebble is by Japanese artist Hirotoshi Itoh. It maybe well be a pebble but by just chipping a small piece out of the middle of it and gluing on a zip and pair of false teeth it makes it slightly scary but incredible art none the less.

We have to agree. Just the fact that the entire base of these chairs are made from a mesh of small pebbles is incredible. They don’t just look like pebbles they are! For it just has to be number 1 in our opinion. And you just know that the price tag on those chairs it going to make out DIY step ladders prices look like loose change!
