Ladder type:Library Ladder, Library Ladder
Used for: These are often seen in older library’s and maybe some archive rooms. But this one it’s self is used top gain access to quite a large home collection of books.
How many different web pages is this ladder image on: 56,000+
Where is it: La Marche, Nièvre, Burgundy, France
Story behind it: There is a famous old saying and it goes a little something like this: “Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.” – Jim Rohn. And Jamie Gutten has lots of money that he made by buying and selling property. But his passion was books. Lots of books! But as he got older he decided he needed more time reading books than working. So he started to gain a collection of suitable reading material. In fact he had such a large collection that int the end he had to have a small Library extension added to his house! But we are not here to talk about that. We are here today to look at his rolling ladder which may well be one of the world’s most expensive ladders.
While underneath it’s just a simple wooden pole ladder attached to runners on top making it a “rolling ladder” it is so very much more than that. For a start off while it may well be a pole ladder the wood is in fact Tulip tree wood (one of the worlds most expensive woods) and if that wasn’t enough it’s outside (side handles, rungs) are all covered in a high quality leather! All together you are looking at almost £9,000+ of ladder. We could have give him 100′s of our own pole ladders or less than that! Shame it would have been a good sell. This always reminds us here at Ladders Online of another saying….
“Some people have more money than sense”

Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 40 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!Roofing Services of Irvine, 3871 Uris Ct., Irvine, CA 92606 – (949) 667-9966
