Previously we posted about a very impressive looking 20 meter tall giant yellow rabbit in the blog post “Step Ladders & Giant Yellow Rabbits.”  It was all about the art work of a certain man called Florentijn Hofman. Well it seems he is not only back with his step ladders but this time he has brought a nice set of Scaffold towers as well.

Let’s get a window seat because we are going via Eurostar to the capital of love, the city of Paris.

Who wouldn’t smile at the sight of this big rubber duck floating down the river? Lucky people in Osaka and Sao Paulo, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam and right here in Paris have all been given the chance to chuckle at its bobbing head. Created by Florentin Hofman, the iconic duck is a very impressive 26 meters tall and 25 meters wide and his sole purpose is to provide a little joy in people’s lives and “relieve world tension.”

Created with his normal method of putting an ad in the local papers, and getting local people to help out creating it, this enormous rubber duck was indeed rubber coated in PVC and build on a pontoon with a generator to power the motor and Scaffold towers being used as a support from for the outside. But of course he used his trust old step ladder to help build part of the outside.

Well it made us smile seeing the pictures. What about you?
