Little Giants, ladder accessories & rubbish make the perfect guard dog.

Let’s be a little bit honest here. We all do not live in good times. Those days when you could just leave your ladder lying around in the back garden are long, long gone.  So most people when they buy various size and types of ladders off us will also purchase quite a few different ladder accessories as well. And one of our top sellers is the Little Giant Ladder Lock. At the end of the day little giant ladders are not cheap (but their quality speaks for its self) so why risk it being stolen when you can keep your ladder safe with a simple ladder lock! Or maybe you could get a guard dog.  What about a 82 foot tall red one?!?

Before anyone asks we are not going to watch Clifford the big red dog cartoons. We are going on a coach trip to the small village of Leens in the Dutch countryside.

Named Max, the gargantuan dog was designed by Florentijn Hofman, and has been guarding the Dutch community of Leens since 2003. Made from locally sourced scrap materials and covered in bright red shrinking foil, this larger-than-life canine is now part of the local cultural heritage.

Measuring 40 x 26 x 82 feet high, Max doesn’t go unnoticed within the Dutch countryside. He is now a landmark making a bright, strong statement and looking after the farmers’ village of Leens, in the Groningen province. Kids climb on Max and older people have their photographs taken with the over-sized red canine. Max was mainly built from locally sourced, low-impact materials like potatoes crates, pallets, wood, straw, a few old wooden ladders, rope and metal wire (to hold everything together). He was then wrapped up using bright red shrinking foil to protect the natural materials from rain and lift up spirits within the coldest months.

Most people from the village believe that Max looks out for them, protects them and keeps them safe. But we suggest that even with the might of Max, a few ladder accessories like the Little Giant Ladder Lock wouldn’t go a miss.

Would you say your outside equipment is safe from theft?!?
