Today we will be taking a trip to the Quezon Province, Philippines for a spot of dinner.
The other week I came across a picture. It was a simple picture of a shop that seemed to sell bamboo ladders (often used as designer ladders). But as I looked a little deeper into the shop in the Quezon Province/Philippines I found that in exactly the same area this shop is in there is something very, very special indeed.
Welcome to Villa Escudero: Waterfalls Restaurant. It’s where your food is served and eaten against the simply amazing backdrop of thundering speed waterfall! Philippines style buffet carts and tables that are made from bamboo do stay remarkably steadily in the flowing river water from the sparkling falls as it’s designed so only a few inches deep is actually flowing under them.
But saying that, I did discover that the tables are actually weighed down because there are times (after rainfall) that the pace of the waterfall can be too much and the restaurant does have to close. But during better times the tables & seats are just weight down in place.
For me this is just about the most amazing restaurant I have ever seen. Just to experience this I feel will have to go onto anyone’s bucket list. So the big question remains….
Who’s hungry?
